Prof. J. Ilja Siepmann was named the first recipient of the Thomas Allen Gregory Chair. Its purpose is to recruit, support, and retain outstanding faculty members in the area of physical chemistry. This Chair was made possible through generous endowed gifts from Françoise deRochefort Thompson to honor and remember her beloved husband, Dr. Thomas Allen Gregory.
